The Fremantle Line is one of the most exciting lines to go for, particularly because you have Fremantle at the end of the train line.  During the start of your day, I'd recommend going straight to Fremantle and exploring the area first then going back to Perth City

The Claremont Station is an interesting stop because the town around it is one of the oldest in Western Australia.  The Claremont Railway station was built in 1886 and the commercial area was built along the Bay View Terrace to Stirling Highway. It is along this area where the Pensioner Guards (those who accompanied the convicts) lived.

Living up to is heritage, this area near the claremont train station boasts of commercial shops and art.

The Jetty, which is overlooking the Karrakkatta Bank, is a peaceful area.  The Bank is famous for its fishing enthusiasts

A Claremont Landmark, the Mansions was built in 1898
(7) Brick and Timber Homes
On the Freshwater Parade road, you’ll find a lot of house structures where are rich in heritage.
(8) Christ Church Of Claremont
This Anglican Church dates from 1893 and is a famous place for weddings and religious activities.

Must See Attractions near SUBIACO STATION


(1) Regal Theatre
Commissioned to be built in the late 1930s, the Regal Theater is a primary example of art deco architecture in Western Australia.  The must see events of the Regal Theater are listed in their website.  
(2) Subiaco Hotel
Just opposite the Regal Theater, the Subiaco Hotel is also an icon of art. The hotel was first built in 1897 amidst the gold rush.
(3) Subiaco Markets
The Subiaco Markets are famous for their diversified and affordable products.  Opened during Fridays, Weekends, and Holidays, the markets are destination to both local and tourists. The area boasts of eclectic food choices that the family can enjoy
(A) Public Art
Public Art is available everywhere in the City of Subiaco.  It aims to to display its people's culture and heritage.  Looking for them around the city is such a pleasant hunt. There are more than 70 public art works scattered around.  My map just gives you some examples.

Must See Attractions near WEST LEEDERVILLE STATION


From the Subiaco Station, you may choose to walk towards the Subiaco Oval (see blue arrow) or you can hop on for a short ride to the West Leederville Station.

(1) Subiaco Oval
The Subiaco Oval is a stadium which has the highest capacity seating in Western Australia and one of the major stadiums of Australia.  It can house up to 43,500 guests and is also a venue of major concerts.   Its ground was first build in 1908.   The last major development happened in 1999 which transformed the stadium as we know of it today.  The  Subiaco Oval has been known as the “Patersons Stadium” and currently as “Domain Stadium”  because of ground naming rights. (2) Mueller Park Play Space
Mueller Park is just beside the Subiaco Oval.  The park has a Playspace for Kids  which was created in 2009.  The playground is suited for 0-5 year olds and some facilities cater for children with disabilities.

Things To Do near CITY WEST STATION


(1) SciTech 
Both Kids and Parents alike will enjoy a trip to SciTech which is a science fun museum.  This is one of the must see attractions of Perth.  SciTech  opened to the public in 1988 with the objective of bringing science, technology, engineering and mathematics to all Western Australians. (2) Watertown Brand Outlet Center
Formerly  called “Harbourtown”,  Watertown is Perth’s biggest Outlet Store center which is open seven days a week.  It has fashion boutiques, jewelry stores, food stalls and stores for housewares, sports, and even souvenir shops.  For a complete Store List and the Center’s trading hours, check out this Watertown Directory from their website
